Our Preschool and Prekindergarten Programs

Engaging the minds of our youngest students to set them on a path for learning!

Contact Us
Holy Trinity Catholic School is excited to offer a preschool and prekindergarten program for our littlest children. Our program encourages the growth of the whole child and provides an educational foundation which includes all aspects of child development: social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual. Children learn from daily interactions with their environment. Our preschool and prekindergarten classes allow the children to interact with materials, their peers, and adults. Our primary teaching goal is to help young children use the environment productively and see themselves as capable learners.

The primary curriculum utilized is Big Day for PreK by Scholastic. Big Day for PreK is a proven effective comprehensive early learning program that embraces children’s natural curiosity and encourages them to explore and connect to the world around them. The curriculum is comprehensive and centered around four main concepts: big experiences, meaningful conversations, children's literature, and innovative technology.

Holy Trinity Catholic School is pleased to offer both a traditional and a full day preschool (3 year olds) and prekindergarten (4 year olds) program. The traditional three and four year old programs meet twice a week for three hours each day, either in the morning 8am-11am or in the afternoon 12pm-3pm. Parents may choose to enroll their child in an additional third day for the four year old class. The three day program allows for further extension on the concepts learned during the week. New for the 2018-19 school year is a three day, full day 8am-3pm program for prekindergarten (4 year olds). Holy Trinity Catholic School also offers a five day a week, full day 8am-3pm preschool (3 year olds) and prekindergarten (4 year olds) program. Children in the full day program attend school Monday-Friday alongside their elementary peers. They explore the same curriculum but have more time for further enrichment. Additionally, children in the full day preschool and prekindergarten program have art, music, physical education, Minds-In-Motion, and rest time built into their school day. Students are also able to extend their day from 3pm-6pm with the YMCA after school program to aide parents with transportation and child care needs.
