Holy Trinity Catholic School Jeep Raffle Rules:
  1. Tickets may be purchased via cash or check. Credit card purchases are not permitted under Indiana Charity Gaming Laws.
  2. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older.
  3. Each ticket will be entered separately in the drawing. Each ticket is a separate and equal chance to win the Jeep Wrangler.  A maximum of 7,500 numbered tickets are eligible to be sold.
  4. The winner will be asked to sign an affidavit that he/she complies with the minimum age requirements and that the winner purchased the winning ticket via an approved purchase method.
  5. Entrants to this raffle do so of their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with the entrant’s own state and local laws.
  6. Winner need not be present at the time of the drawing to win.
  7. This raffle is a fundraising effort of Holy Trinity Catholic School, an Indiana nonprofit corporation designated by the Internal Revenue Service as meeting the qualifications of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, as amended. Holy Trinity Catholic School is located in Jasper, Indiana and this raffle is being conducted under the laws of the State of Indiana.  All proceeds will support programs at Holy Trinity Catholic School.
  8. Due to postal regulations, raffle ticket stubs cannot be returned by mail if purchased through the mail or over the phone. When the order is placed, Holy Trinity Catholic School will complete the ticket with the information provided by entrant and the ticket will be placed in the raffle drawing at Holy Trinity.  Purchasers can email [email protected] to check when the order was processed and to obtain their ticket numbers, if so desired.
  9. The winner is responsible for all local, state and federal taxes (sales and income), transfer and license fees and costs as well as any costs of insurance, transportation and storage of the Jeep following the date of the drawing. Any vehicle that is on display may not necessarily be the vehicle that you win. The dealer credit toward a new vehicle, with value up to $40,000, will be claimed at Sternberg Chrysler Center Inc. within 30 days of winning.  The MSRP of the vehicle is not to exceed $40,000. The winner understands, acknowledges, and agrees that he/she is receiving a prize and will hereby release and discharge Holy Trinity Catholic School, and any additional sponsors, their employees, agents, officers, directors, and legal representatives and assigns from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses or expenses arising from or caused by the award of such prize, including, but not limited to the payment of any and all taxes that are due.
  10. Holy Trinity Catholic School makes no representation as to the condition of the vehicle, nor does it make any warranties, or fitness for a particular purpose, originality, mileage, condition or compliance with safety or emissions laws or regulations. By purchasing a raffle ticket, participant acknowledges that the winner will accept the vehicle, “AS IS”, “WHERE IS.”
  11. In the event the Jeep is lost, damaged, stolen, destroyed or otherwise not available prior to the raffle drawing, Holy Trinity Catholic School’s liability to a participant shall be limited to the refund of ticket price to such participant.
  12. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has taken the position that amounts paid for chances in raffles, lotteries, or similar drawings for valuable prizes are not gifts and consequently do not qualify as deductible charitable contributions.
  13. The winner will be announced at the official drawing to be held on May 15th, 2020 at the Jasper Outdoor Recreation, 559 W. 500 N. Jasper, Indiana 47546.  REVISION: Due to COVID-19, the drawing location has been moved to Holy Trinity Central Campus, 1385 W 6th Street in Jasper, Indiana. Unfortunately, the drawing will not be a public event.
  14. If the winner is not present, he/she will be notified via phone, certified mail or email within 7 days of the drawing.  The prize must be claimed within 30 days of the drawing. If the winner declines to take the prize or the prize goes unclaimed, the second and third place winners would advance up one prize level and an alternate winner would be awarded third place.
  15. To claim the prize, the winner will be required to sign and deliver to Holy Trinity Catholic School: (a) a sworn affidavit of eligibility in accordance with these Rules and applicable law, including without limitation that he or she is at least 18 years old at the time he or she purchased the winning raffle ticket: (b) such written information as is required by any applicable tax laws, including without limitation his or her Social Security Number: and (c) two forms of identification, one of which must be a photo ID showing that the person claiming the prize is the same person who is named on the winning raffle ticket.  Raffle stubs do not need to be kept for any reason; however, all purchased tickets will be kept by Holy Trinity Catholic School.
  16. Holy Trinity Catholic School reserves the right to cancel, modify or terminate the raffle prior to the raffle drawing if factors (for any reason) beyond its reasonable control occur with liability being limited to refund of ticket price to entrants.
  17. The winner grants Holy Trinity Catholic School permission to use his/her name, city, state, photograph and statement for publicity purposes by Holy Trinity Catholic School and agrees to sign a publicity release without any further compensation.
  18. Employees of Holy Trinity Catholic School are not eligible to win.
  19. All ticket sales will end at 5 pm EST on Thursday, May 14th, 2020.
  20. By entering this raffle, each participant releases Holy Trinity Catholic School, its directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by participating in the raffle or winning any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize, and each winner agrees to indemnify and hold Holy Trinity Catholic School harmless from any and all loses, damages, rights, claims, and actions of any kind rising in connection with or as a result of participating in the raffle or the winner’s acceptance or use of any prize.
  21. THIS CONTEST IS SUBJECT TO ALL APPLICABLE FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL LAWS, AND IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED, TAXED, OR OTHERWISE RESTRICTED.
  22. REGISTERED WITH THE STATE OF INDIANA. This raffle is conducted for the benefit of Holy Trinity Catholic School and licensed by the Indiana Gaming Commission. Indiana Gaming Raffle License # 014444.
