Preschool & Prekindergarten
If you're looking for the area's top preschool or prekindergarten program...you've found it here!
Holy Trinity's preschool and prekindergarten programs have been voted "The Best of Dubois County" for five years and counting! Our preschool and prekindergarten classes are lead by certified teachers who hold either a bachelors or masters level degree in Early Childhood Education. Each classroom also has an instructional aide who helps the teacher and assists the students throughout their day at Holy Trinity. We pride ourselves on helping our youngest Saints grow in all social, academic, and age appropriate skill areas.
Holy Trinity Catholic School is excited to offer a preschool and prekindergarten program for our littlest children. Our program encourages the growth of the whole child and provides an educational foundation which includes all aspects of child development: social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual. Children learn from daily interactions with their environment. Our preschool and prekindergarten classes allow the children to interact with materials, their peers, and adults. Our primary teaching goal is to help young children use the environment productively and see themselves as capable learners.
The curriculum of Holy Trinity Catholic School meets or exceeds the requirements of the State of Indiana and the Catholic Diocese of Evansville. Our school follows the Indiana Foundations for Early Childhood Education and themed units of study. Thematic learning engages students in hands-on lessons and activities that will integrate all content areas. Additionally, students enrolled in full day programs are provided with exposure to special subject areas, such as Physical Education, Art, Music, Library, and Computer Lab. Full day students also participate in a daily rest time each afternoon.
Children in the full day program attend school Monday-Friday alongside their elementary peers. They explore the same curriculum as half day students but have more time for further enrichment. Additionally, children in the full day preschool and prekindergarten program have art, music, physical education, Minds-In-Motion, and rest time built into their school day. Prekindergarten students are also able to extend their day from 3pm-6pm with the YMCA after school program to aide parents with transportation and child care needs.
Registration for our Preschool and Prekindergarten classes begins in mid-January. Children must be 3 or 4 by August 1st of the school year and potty trained by the start of school to enroll in classes.
